About The Position

The Barback helps the bartender with the daily operation of the bar at Casa de Montecristo, which offers premium cigars, modern lounges, walk-in humidors, and full bars at multiple locations across the United States. The role supports bar service by replenishing supplies, maintaining clean and organized bar areas, and assisting with opening and closing tasks. The position requires availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve flexible and long hours.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in the bar industry or a related field.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work flexible and sometimes long hours.
• Regular exposure to smoke or airborne particles and occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Ability to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or sit.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
• Replenish liquor, beer, and wine in the bar as needed during the shift.
• Keep the bar, refrigerators, and bar service areas clean and organized.
• Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
• Receive liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily.
• Help keep bar or lounge areas clean and tidy.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
