About The Position

José Andrés Group is seeking a part-time Barback to support its hospitality team and help deliver its food- and culture-focused guest experience. The role includes setting up and maintaining bar and service areas, replenishing supplies, assisting bartenders, keeping storage and guest areas clean and organized, and completing general cleaning and other duties as requested. The position requires working nights, holidays, and weekends and involves standing or walking throughout the shift, along with lifting and other physical activity.

Requirements

Must be able to stand or walk for the entire shift and maintain well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
Must be able to maneuver at a well-paced rate between tasks occurring simultaneously.
Must be able to regularly and continuously lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift trays or food items weighing up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to perform grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
Must have listening, hearing, and visual acuity; talking and hearing are continuously required to communicate with guests and employees.
Must have manual dexterity to use and operate necessary equipment.
Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

Set up bar, side stations, storage areas, food staging areas, and fold napkins as requested.
Restock bar and backup coolers with liquor, wine, glassware, beer, ice, water, garnishes, and other items as needed.
Polish glassware and silverware for guest service.
Keep the bar, bar tables, stools, and floors free of debris; keep the bar and tables clean and clear.
Transport dishes and other tableware to the kitchen for cleaning.
Clean spilled food and drinks, remove broken dishes, and dispose of empty bottles and trash.
Assist bartenders by offering refills on non-alcoholic beverages when needed.
Produce fresh juices as needed.
Keep beverage storage areas neat and organized.
Change kegs and bag-in-box containers as needed and inform management of inventory changes.
Perform general cleaning while following health and safety standards.
Perform other duties as requested, including cleaning unexpected spills and fulfilling special guest requests.
