About The Position

Live! by Loews - Arlington is hiring a part-time Bar Bourbon Barback to support bar operations at a high-energy hotel in the Arlington Entertainment District. The Barback keeps the bar organized, clean, stocked, and ready so bartenders can provide smooth, timely service and excellent guest experiences. The role involves assisting with setup and breakdown, replenishing supplies, preparing garnishes, cleaning glassware and surfaces, clearing drinkware, monitoring inventory, and supporting guests and bartenders. The position requires regular attendance, participation in mandatory training and meetings, and flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, pull, or push more than 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform continual bending, lifting, carrying, and stooping.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Regular attendance and attendance at mandatory training sessions and meetings.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Replenish and restock liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies throughout the shift.
• Assist bartenders with setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts or events.
• Prepare garnishes, including lemon, lime, and orange wedges, as well as cherries, olives, and other drink essentials.
• Maintain bar cleanliness by washing and drying glassware, wiping surfaces, and regularly removing trash.
• Keep the bar organized and ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are accessible.
• Clear dirty glasses and empty drinkware from guest tables and bar counters.
• Monitor stock levels and notify bartenders or management when supplies are running low.
• Provide friendly assistance to guests with basic requests or questions.
• Support bartenders during peak hours to help ensure timely beverage delivery.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for beverage handling and bar cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol laws and regulations.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with standards.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
