About The Position

The Barback/Runner supports bar, dining-room, and food-running operations in a fast-paced hotel restaurant and bar setting. The role includes restocking and preparing bar supplies, assisting bartenders, bussing and resetting tables, maintaining clean service areas, and delivering accurate food orders promptly to guests. The position requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability and involves exposure to hot surfaces, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
• Prepare garnishes and assist with bar preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
• Change kegs and monitor inventory levels.
• Assist bartenders during high-volume service periods.
• Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and restrooms.
• Refill water, bread, and other table items as needed.
• Assist servers with guest requests.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Deliver food orders accurately and promptly from the kitchen to guests.
• Verify plate presentation and order accuracy before food leaves the kitchen.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff.
• Assist with expo station organization and cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to guest needs and special requests.
