Bar Porter - Casino Service Bar
About The Position
Under the direction of the Beverage Supervisor, the incumbent maintains adequate levels of bar supplies and equipment as required and a high standard of cleanliness to the bar areas to ensure high caliber service to customers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: May include but are not limited to: Maintains bar area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles. Ensures that ample supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice and garnishes are available during service periods. Completes all established bar setup duties in a timely manner. Performs work assignments directed by bartender or beverage management. Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation practices and procedures to ensure that bar and related equipment remain clean, sanitary and odor-free at all times. Knowledgeable of and adherence to food and beverage department regulations and procedures. Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.
- Must possess good guest service skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members.
