About The Position

The Villa Roma is a year-round resort with multiple dining venues & bars with a variety of styles. Bar porters have a vital role assisting in the seamless operations of these areas.

Requirements

• Must work well under pressure
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for order totals and cash handling
• Excellent guest relations skills, with a focus on providing exceptional service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of proper sanitation practices for food handling and dining areas

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Setting up the bar area
• Ensuring that it is clean and well-maintained
• Assisting with inventory management
• Supporting the bartenders and waitstaff
• Assisting with stock replenishment and ordering
• Greeting and serving customers
• Handling cash and credit card transactions
