About The Position
The Bar Back receives liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and as needed, then replenishes the bar throughout the shift. The role supports bartenders and bar operations by delivering food and beverage items, stocking supplies, maintaining bar equipment, assisting with opening and closing tasks, and keeping bar and lounge areas clean and orderly. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Receive liquor, beer, and wine from the storeroom daily and as needed, and replenish the bar throughout the shift.
- Retrieve needed food items from the kitchen and deliver them to the bar area.
- Retrieve beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver them to the bar area.
- Set up bottles on the bar, placing top-shelf liquor on the back shelf.
- Ensure beer taps are working properly.
- Place appropriate bar snacks on the counter and keep supplies such as snacks and napkins stocked throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
- Bus tables in the bar area.
- Keep bar and lounge areas clean and tidy, including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, and floors under equipment; sweeping and mopping service areas and floor mats.
- Remove rubbish from all receptacles.
- Prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist the bartender.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
