About The Position

The Bar Back assists Bartenders by keeping bar areas clean and stocked and providing support for prompt, friendly service. The role supports a fun Guest experience, helps maintain bar supplies and storage areas, and assists with opening, closing, party setup, and inventory duties. Team Members may work days, nights, and/or weekends as required and in a noisy, fast-paced environment with hot and cold areas.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Able to read and write handwritten notes.
Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Able to move about the facility and stand for long periods; walking or standing for 100% of the shift is required.
Able to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep, and wipe frequently.
Able to work in hot and cold environments, including freezers and areas around cooking equipment.
Able to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
Able to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Deliver a positive Guest experience through food, drinks, and games in a fun environment.
Keep the immediate supervisor informed of significant problems or unusual matters and take corrective action or suggest alternatives when necessary.
Create a warm, fun atmosphere for Guests and Team Members.
Follow alcohol-awareness procedures, assess Guest demeanor, and alert a Manager when behavior warrants attention.
Follow portion guidelines to support cost control and Guest experience.
Check back with Guests after food delivery, maintain nonalcoholic drink levels, remove clutter, pre-bus as needed, and respond to Guest needs promptly.
Work quickly and efficiently according to the “Full hands in, Full hands out” philosophy.
Deliver food to tables and ensure Guests have what they need.
Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Stock bars with garnishes, glassware, straws, and napkins.
Maintain bottle and keg beer pars during and after shifts and maintain requisition sheets.
Keep bar areas clean.
Empty trash and spot-sweep when needed or when requested by a Manager.
Restock and prepare supplies for shift changes and closing.
Perform opening and closing duties, including party breakdown duties.
Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of bar storage areas.
Assist with party setup of bars.
Assist with bar inventories as requested by management.
Participate in incentives and contests to drive sales and promote the brand.
Assist other Team Members as needed or as business needs dictate.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with other Team Members to support morale, productivity, and efficiency.
