About The Position

The Bar Apprentice greets guests, mixes and serves drinks, and maintains the cleanliness of the bar. The role supports bartenders by providing breaks and producing drinks for cocktail servers. Duties are performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.

Ability to move quickly and turn from side to side.
Wrist flexibility to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to move around a walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40°F to -10°F.
Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Able to provide any work cards required for the position.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine.
TAM, health, and non-gaming cards, if applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience as a bar back or busser.
Fine dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare batches, juices, garnishes, infusions, and syrups.
Restock the bar and maintain proper inventory levels.
Refill liquor bottles, juices, and ice bins during service.
Keep the bar and storage areas neat, tidy, and orderly.
Assist bartenders during rush hours and provide breaks.
Produce drinks for cocktail servers.
Clear empty cups and trash from the bar top and high tops.
Maintain the bar’s appearance and cleanliness, including wiping surfaces, pushing in chairs and stools, and arranging drink menus.
Assist with bar maintenance, including water levels, clearing, and marking.
Clean up spills and other customer accidents as needed.
Assist with back-of-house liquor restocking.
Keep the beverage cooler clean and organized.
Wash and polish glassware during service.
Follow opening and closing procedures during each shift.
Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
