About The Position

The Banquet Supervisor oversees the daily execution of banquet operations at Hilton San Diego Bayfront, delivering memorable guest experiences through friendly, proactive service. The role plans, organizes, and executes a range of events, ensures function rooms are set up and broken down to event specifications and quality standards, and coordinates updates across relevant hotel teams. It also oversees banquet staff performance and helps maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide upbeat, friendly service and proactively look for ways to make guests’ experiences special.
• Plan, organize, and execute banquet events, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Oversee function-room setup, ensuring linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware meet event specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate event specifications, procedures, and updates to teams in Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping.
• Ensure function rooms are properly broken down and equipment is stored correctly for the next event.
• Oversee banquet staff, including scheduling, supervision, coaching, and recognition.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
