About The Position

The Refrigeration Mechanic supports the reliable operation of the hotel's HVAC systems and helps deliver a comfortable environment for guests and team members. The role performs routine preventive and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs; responds to temperature-control work orders; monitors mechanical equipment for potential issues; assists with equipment start-up, shut-down, and daily operations; and documents maintenance work and follow-up needs. The schedule may include days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
• Experience maintaining, servicing, and repairing refrigeration systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Respond promptly to guest and team member work orders by troubleshooting and adjusting HVAC systems to maintain a comfortable environment.
• Visually inspect mechanical equipment and parts to identify potential issues.
• Assist with the start-up, shut-down, and daily operation of HVAC equipment.
• Record completed repairs and flag issues requiring further attention.
