About The Position

The Banquet Set-up position safely and efficiently prepares banquet spaces according to customer specifications while providing friendly, attentive customer service. The role requires attention to detail to ensure events are set up to meet or exceed client needs. The position pays $17.00 per hour plus tips/commissions.

• Previous serving and/or banquet setup experience.
• Familiarity and comfort operating in-house and outside-vendor audiovisual equipment.

Responsibilities

• Know the hotel layout and Food & Beverage Department storage areas.
• Be familiar with in-house and outside-vendor audiovisual equipment.
• Keep banquet rooms and closets organized and clean.
• Read and understand BEO information.
• Set up rooms according to the BEO, ensure meeting rooms are clean and ready at least one hour before client arrival, place event door signs, and sign off on the BEO.
• Break down or flip banquet rooms after events, clear tables as specified, and store equipment.
• At the end of the shift, turn off lights, adjust air conditioning or heat, and lock doors and closets.
• Inspect banquet room equipment daily, including lights, tables, and chairs, and report broken or missing equipment to the department head.
