About The Position

The Banquet Set-up position is responsible for safely and efficiently setting up banquet rooms as specified by customers and providing excellent customer service. The role requires attention to detail to ensure event spaces are clean, organized, and ready to meet client needs. The position pays $17.00 per hour plus tips/commissions and includes night and weekend work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous serving experience and/or experience setting up banquets.
• Familiarity and comfort operating in-house and outside-vendor audiovisual equipment.

Responsibilities

• Know the hotel layout and Food & Beverage Department storage areas.
• Be familiar with in-house and outside-vendor audiovisual equipment.
• Keep banquet rooms and closets organized and clean.
• Read and understand banquet event order (BEO) information.
• Set up rooms according to the BEO, ensure each meeting room is clean and ready at least one hour before the client’s arrival, place the event door sign, and sign off on the BEO.
• Break down or flip banquet rooms after events, clear tables as specified, and store equipment.
• Turn off lights, adjust the air conditioning or heat, and lock all doors and closets at the end of the shift.
• Inspect banquet room equipment daily, including lights, tables, and chairs, and report broken or missing equipment to the department head.
