About The Position

Join MGM Springfield as a Banquet Setup Houseperson and help prepare spaces for events. The role transforms rooms into event-ready settings by following diagrams, banquet event orders, and floor plans, while ensuring cleanliness and that setups are completed on time. It also involves refreshing meeting rooms, handling equipment, dismantling setups, and maintaining orderly storage areas.

Requirements

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced, high-volume banquet setup and porter role, or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Set banquet rooms according to diagrams and BEOs.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they are clean before and after functions.
• Ensure setups match floor-plan specifications and are ready 30 minutes before an event starts.
• Place signs and refresh meeting rooms.
• Clean and dismantle room setups.
• Keep storage areas in proper order.
• Gather all equipment needed for designated setups.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
