About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring a Banquet Set-Up Attendant for the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. The role helps prepare banquet rooms for events and clears and tears down rooms afterward. The attendant assembles and arranges conference equipment according to event orders and Conference Services standards, cleans and restocks meeting spaces, refreshes rooms during breaks, moves convention materials, buses and resets tables, addresses guest issues, and coordinates with culinary and stewarding staff. The position requires awareness of the property's functions and meetings and may include evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Compensation is $14.00 per hour.

• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds at shoulder height and up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, squat, push, and pull frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms according to event orders and Conference Services standards.
• Thoroughly clean classrooms, ballrooms, and team rooms, including removing trash and restocking meeting-room supplies.
• Refresh meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Complete special projects as directed by department management.
• Move convention materials, including boxes and programs, from receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms, or suites.
• Bus tables and reset them as needed.
• Resolve guests’ issues and create an exceptional experience.
• Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with culinary and stewarding staff.
• Maintain awareness of functions, events, and meetings taking place.
