About The Position

The Banquet Server interacts with guests to provide a positive dining experience, serving them in a friendly and efficient manner. Servers are expected to be attentive to guests and help them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed. The role also requires basic cooking knowledge and familiarity with the products and services available at the golf course or resort. The position may work indoors or outdoors depending on the outlet, with varied weather conditions and a schedule that may include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business requires.

Requirements

Some dining server experience.
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification.
Some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare tables by laying out napkins and utensils, refilling condiments, and completing other preparation tasks.
Stay informed about menu choices, specials, menu changes, and item availability.
Handle table bookings, direct customers to tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist with drink selections, explain food preparation, and communicate customer needs to cooks.
Maintain a positive dining experience by delivering items, meeting customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, clearing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
Prepare mixed drinks for customers.
Open and pour wine tableside.
Process payments, issue receipts, and return change.
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by a supervisor.
Fill in for absent staff as needed.
Assist with special events as needed.
Greet guests and owners warmly and appropriately.
Consistently follow grooming and appearance standards.
Understand and communicate products and services available at the golf course or resort.
Use basic cooking skills.
