About The Position

The Banquet Houseperson sets up and breaks down banquet equipment in accordance with the banquet event order (BEO), delivers supplies, assists bartenders with stock and supply breakdown, refreshes meeting rooms as needed, and stores and maintains banquet equipment. The role also includes maintaining a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the assigned area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds.
• Must be able to perform physical activities including sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling or pushing, kneeling, squatting, and grasping.
• Must be able to communicate in English by hearing, speaking, reading, and writing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a similar position is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet equipment in accordance with the BEO and break it down at the conclusion of events.
• Store and maintain banquet equipment, including bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, and stanchions.
• Assist bartenders with stock and the breakdown of beer, liquor, and other supplies.
• Deliver related supplies, including liquor and beer from the banquet bar porter, in a timely and efficient manner.
• Refresh meeting rooms as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
