About The Position

The Banquet Houseman helps prepare and set up banquet and meeting rooms for events, and clears and tears down rooms after functions. The role includes assembling conference equipment according to event orders and Conference Services standards; cleaning classrooms, ballrooms, and team rooms; refreshing meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks; and completing projects assigned by department management. The associate also moves convention materials, buses and resets tables, addresses guest issues, and communicates with culinary and stewarding staff while staying aware of all events and meetings taking place.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms according to event orders and standards set by Conference Services management.
• Thoroughly clean classrooms, ballrooms, and team rooms, remove trash from meeting spaces, and restock meeting room supplies.
• Refresh meeting rooms during meal and coffee breaks.
• Complete special projects as directed by department management.
• Move convention materials, boxes, and programs from hotel receiving docks, registration areas, guest rooms, or suites.
• Bus and reset tables as needed.
• Resolve guest issues and create an amazing experience.
• Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with culinary and stewarding staff.
• Maintain awareness of functions, events, and meetings taking place.
