About The Position
The Banquet Houseman stages event areas, assists during functions, and provides customer service to guests. The role prepares and tears down event and meeting spaces, sets up tables, chairs, equipment, and other items according to event orders, and organizes and cleans the Entertainment and Events area. It also transfers supplies and equipment, checks assigned events for details and special circumstances, and responds to guest requests and concerns. Pay is $16.51 per hour. Days and shifts vary based on business and banquet needs. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available as an option. The position reports to the Banquets Manager.
Requirements
- At least one year of customer service experience in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to bend and carry multiple times during a shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare spaces before events and meetings.
- Set up tables, chairs, equipment, and other items according to event orders.
- Tear down spaces after events and meetings.
- Organize and clean the Entertainment and Events area.
- Transfer supplies and equipment for each function as available.
- Ensure appropriate equipment is available for each function.
- Check assigned events for details and special circumstances.
- Respond promptly and in a friendly manner to guest requests.
- Address and resolve guest concerns or inquiries promptly.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
