About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquet Houseman to set up, refresh, tear down, and maintain meeting spaces according to resort standards. The role helps ensure event spaces are arranged to specifications and provide a welcoming, seamless environment for guests. The position also supports the resort’s commitment to delivering extraordinary guest experiences and its Lead with Love Promise. The listed pay rate is $14–$16 per hour. The position is based at one of the listed locations: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; or Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

Be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a team player willing to help anyone in the immediate area at a minute’s notice.
Be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Be flexible to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

One year of meetings setup experience in the hospitality industry at a convention center or large hotel property with over 500 rooms is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure the correct and timely setup of Banquet Event Order (BEO) functions, including meeting rooms, breaks, audiovisual equipment, and other equipment.
Use cleaning and setup equipment such as vacuums, chair dollies, carts, and audiovisual equipment.
Break down banquet spaces after functions and store equipment and supplies properly.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in banquet function spaces, pre-function spaces, and storage areas, including carpets, floors, walls, walks, doors, windows, and heating and air-conditioning units.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
