About The Position

Wichita Country Club is seeking a reliable, physically strong Houseman to support event setup and teardown. The role handles the logistical and physical aspects of events, helping ensure that event spaces are prepared efficiently and meet club standards. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks. Flexible availability is needed during the busy banquet and holiday season.

Requirements

• Strong ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Team-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
• Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute setups and teardowns for club events according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Arrange furniture, décor, staging, AV equipment, and linens according to event plans.
• Ensure event spaces meet club standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Support efficient, precise transitions between multiple events on the same day.
• Respond promptly to on-site needs during events.
