About The Position

Wichita Country Club is seeking a reliable, physically strong Houseman to support the setup and teardown of event spaces. The role handles the logistical and physical aspects of events efficiently and effectively, helping maintain the club’s standards for facilities and member experiences. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and flexible availability during the busy banquet and holiday season.

Requirements

• Strong ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Team-oriented, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks.
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute setups and tear-downs for club events in alignment with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Arrange furniture, décor, staging, AV equipment, and linens as specified by event plans.
• Ensure event spaces meet club standards for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Support transitions between multiple events in the same day with efficiency and precision.
• Respond promptly to on-site needs during events.
