About The Position

The Banquet Food Server sets up banquet rooms and serves food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, following high quality standards. The role is part time at The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel, which hosts meetings and events in 46,000 square feet of event space. Compensation is $17.00 per hour plus service fees.

The server prepares banquet tables according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), delivers food and beverages, checks in with guests, and resets and replenishes facilities after each function. The role also involves maintaining clean, sanitary, organized, and functional banquet facilities. It requires standing and moving for most of the shift in meeting spaces and kitchen areas, and handling, lifting, and carrying 50–75 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of banquet server experience in a similar role; experience in a similar-sized operation is preferred.
• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, grasp, lift, carry, and transport 50–75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to use food and beverage equipment.
• Ability to stand and move around meeting spaces and kitchen areas for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thoughtful, high-quality service to guests.
• Set up banquet tables according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Deliver food and beverages to guests and revisit tables to refill beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet rooms after each function according to the BEO or instructions.
• Replenish and properly store condiments and supplies after events.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and functionality of banquet facilities.
