About The Position

The Banquet Food Server sets up banquet rooms and serves food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while meeting high quality standards. The role delivers attentive guest service, prepares banquet tables according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), serves and replenishes food and beverages, resets rooms after functions, maintains supplies, and ensures banquet facilities are clean, sanitary, organized, and functioning properly.

This is a part-time position at The Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel. Compensation is $17.00 per hour plus service fees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of banquet server experience in a similar role; experience in a similar size of operation is preferred.
• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, grasp, lift, carry, and transport 50–75 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to use food and beverage equipment.
• Ability to stand and move about meeting spaces and kitchen areas for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to guests with engagement and thoughtfulness.
• Prepare banquet tables according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to create an inviting guest experience.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests, revisit tables to refill beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet rooms after each function according to the BEO or other instructions.
• Replenish and properly store condiments and supplies, keeping banquet facilities organized after events.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal functionality of banquet facilities.
