About The Position

The Banquet Custodian II completes banquet equipment set-ups and breakdowns, stores and maintains banquet equipment, and assists bartenders with supplies. The role delivers supplies as needed, refreshes meeting rooms, and maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read English.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to grasp, kneel, stoop, and bend on a regular basis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of prior experience as a banquet porter.
• Knowledge of various banquet setups, such as classroom style, chevron, banquet, and reception.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet equipment according to the BEO and break it down at the conclusion of events.
• Store and maintain banquet equipment, including bars, carts, portable units, tables, chairs, and stanchions.
• Deliver liquor, beer, and other supplies from the banquet bar porter in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist bartenders with stocking and breakdown of beer, liquor, and other supplies.
• Refresh meeting rooms as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
