About The Position

The Banquet Bartender delivers excellent guest service by building relationships, providing personalized service, and anticipating and meeting guests’ needs. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of cocktail and beverage menus, preparing drinks to order, and serving guests directly or through service staff. The bartender is responsible for maintaining high-quality bar setups and beverage service, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, and following hotel policies and applicable health, safety, sanitation, and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and comprehensive working knowledge of the hospitality business.
• Strong knowledge of mixology, beverage garnishes, and beverage service, including liquor, beer, and wine.
• Highly developed customer service skills, a friendly and approachable demeanor, strong problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Serve Safe certification.
• Unexpired TIPs certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of alcoholic beverages and all food and beverage menu items.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, hotel standards, and local laws.
• Ensure high-quality bar setups, service, food and beverage quality, and presentation.
• Check identification for proof of age when required.
• Respond to guest requests accurately and promptly, working toward a positive and memorable experience.
• Ensure prompt delivery and quality control from point of departure to arrival.
• Perform accurate POS procedures and handle cash and credit transactions in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Attend required department trainings and meetings.
