About The Position

The Banking Services Operations Associate III processes and researches payments according to account specifications for Lockbox customers. The role prepares deposits using customer-specific documented instructions, performs transaction and exception-item processing, prepares daily reports, and reviews processed deposits for accuracy. The associate is also expected to follow company risk and regulatory standards and internal controls, escalate risk-related issues, support an environment of belonging, and complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, or, in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years of higher education and/or work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deposits for processing using customer-specific documented instructions and complete functions associated with transaction processing.
• Complete exception-item processing of deposit transactions.
• Prepare daily reports using prepared worksheets.
• Review processed deposit transactions for accuracy.
• Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the company’s Risk Appetite.
• Identify risk-related issues that need escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and applicable issues raised by external regulators.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
