About The Position

Prepares and processes payments for Lockbox customers according to account-specific instructions. The role includes opening and preparing deposits, entering batch information, capturing check and document images, completing data entry and check keying, processing credit card transactions, preparing completed deposits for customer return, and preparing, balancing, and sending customer data transmissions. The associate is also expected to follow company risk and regulatory standards, support a sense of belonging and the M&T Bank brand, maintain internal control standards, and complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
At least 1 year of general work experience.

Responsibilities

Open and prepare deposits for processing using customer-specific documented instructions.
Enter deposit batch information into the Lockbox application.
Capture check and document images using high-speed imaging equipment.
Complete data entry according to customer-specific documented instructions.
Key checks, including dollar amounts and MICR line information.
Process credit card transactions using the merchant services application.
Review and prepare completed deposits for return to the customer.
Prepare, balance, and send customer data transmissions.
Understand and follow company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite; identify risk-related issues requiring escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and applicable issues raised by external regulators.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
