The Banking Operations Business Analyst supports enterprise initiatives involving the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products and processes in the Payment and Digital space. The role serves as a functional subject matter expert, understanding business needs, processes, change impacts, and the end-user experience. It supports complex, high-risk, and regulatory-driven Banking Operations Support activities, including tax reporting, FATCA, NRA recertification, tax withholding, B-Notices and TIN-related activities, IOLTA administration, inactive and dormant accounts, special referrals, and unclaimed property. The analyst is heavily involved in testing products, enhancements, and changes, collaborating with Quality Assurance, subject matter experts, operations and product teams, business leadership, project management, IT, and vendors. The role also contributes to procedure modernization, control and audit readiness, operational reporting, process improvement, automation, cross-training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer across Banking Operations Support. The position may lead smaller business-unit efforts outside EPMO-managed projects as a functional project lead, while supporting broader projects through requirements development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation validation. It analyzes processes, data, reconciliations, controls, exceptions, and trends; identifies risks and gaps; and recommends corrective actions or scalable improvements. The role develops operational documentation and coordinates with internal partners and vendors to resolve dependencies and complete assigned work.
