About The Position

The Banking Operations Business Analyst supports enterprise initiatives involving new products and enhancements to existing products and processes in Foreign Exchange Operations. The role serves as a Foreign Exchange back-office subject matter expert, developing an understanding of business needs, processes, change impacts, and end-user experience. It is heavily involved in testing new products, enhancements, and changes, working with Quality Assurance and subject matter expert teams to assess quality and testing outcomes. The analyst partners with operations and product subject matter experts, business leadership, project management, IT, and vendor partners. The role configures, maintains, and optimizes ION Spectrum queues and workflows; executes and documents testing in a dedicated test environment; and develops and maintains processes and procedures aligned with operational controls and business requirements. It identifies and documents business-unit requirements and defines system and functional requirements. The analyst facilitates meetings, supports development and testing, leads testing efforts, and may lead smaller business-unit projects outside EPMO-run projects. It also participates in process-improvement initiatives and helps drive smaller automation projects.

Requirements

At least 3 years of related experience in Treasury Management Service or a similar field.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, and/or other commercial banking products and services.
Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
Intermediate knowledge of banking or financial-services operations and experience writing business requirements with subject matter experts.
Intermediate experience documenting workflows, processes, and functional designs, and managing timelines, project task lists, and testing and implementation efforts.
Intermediate payments knowledge, including payment types such as FX Payments, SWIFT, RTP, and Digital Assets, and file transfer protocol (FTP/SFTP).
Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with API banking.
Experience in FX Operations.
Experience with the ION Spectrum platform.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Foreign Exchange Operations back-office subject matter expert for enterprise product and process initiatives.
Configure, maintain, and optimize ION Spectrum queues and workflows.
Execute and document testing in a dedicated test environment.
Develop and maintain supporting processes and procedures aligned with operational controls and business requirements.
Identify, develop, and write business-unit requirements and define system and functional requirements.
Facilitate meetings and work independently and with team members to achieve planned outcomes.
Support projects through development and testing and directly support and lead testing with business subject matter experts and project teams.
Lead smaller business-unit efforts as the functional project lead and provide regular project-status communications.
Participate in process-improvement initiatives and help drive smaller automation projects.
Ensure teams understand project objectives; assess testing results against expectations and help determine necessary changes and their priorities.
Partner with operations and product subject matter experts, business leadership, project management, IT partners, and vendor partners.
