About The Position

Heritage Bank is seeking a temporary bank teller for their Puyallup East Main Branch in Puyallup, WA. This assignment is from June 2026 to November 2026. The role involves helping customers meet their financial goals by providing exceptional customer service while handling routine financial transactions. The typical full-time schedule is approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with flexibility required to ensure adequate staffing for training or employee absences. This position is fully on-site.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic math skills with an understanding of debit and credit relationships and negotiable instruments.
  • Gains working knowledge of policies and procedures ensuring job responsibilities are performed in compliance with all state and federal banking laws and regulations.
  • Ability to gain working knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, proficient computer skills and ability to adapt to and learn new technologies quickly (i.e., financial services applications, DNA/Fiserv, cash recycler).

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine paying / receiving duties accurately and in accordance with assigned Authority Limits.
  • Provides operational and office support to assigned branch, completing all assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, security, and regulatory requirements.
