Bank Operations Specialist - Hoover, AL
About The Position
The Bank Operations Specialist performs a variety of operational tasks within Bank Operations. The role receives and reviews incoming work, responds to customer or associate inquiries, prepares and corrects documents, and researches and resolves related issues. The position works under general supervision and follows established guidelines and procedures. It also supports compliance with risk management programs, rules, regulations, and cybersecurity practices, while identifying process improvement opportunities and applying disciplined change management practices. The role is based at Regions' Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, Alabama, and requires a regular onsite schedule with full-day office attendance. Scheduled hours may fall between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, based on business needs. The position tracks time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked over 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
- Data entry and typing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, based on business needs.
- Regular onsite work schedule with full-day attendance required in the office.
