About The Position

The Bakery Team Member will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core values and Brand. This position requires the use of equipment including ovens and slicers, as well as frequent heavy lifting of products. Candidates for this position will be responsible for working early mornings. (5:00am start time). Our Team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Through the work that we do, we help to build, fuel, feed and grow Western Canadian communities together.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Professional, people-first, Guest service skills
• Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork)
• Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Quality communication skills.
• Abilit to work effectively with others

Responsibilities

• Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s policies and procedures and participating in the Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety.
• Providing professional, people-first, service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto.
• Production, packaging and merchandising of products
• Food Preparation with a focus of baking of product
• Follow proper food safe regulations
• Accurate ordering and receiving of product
• Ensure a high level of image and cleanliness in line with our Brand expectations.
• Other projects and assignments as required.
