About The Position

Oversees the store’s bakery operation to ensure budgeted financial objectives and departmental product quality and presentation standards are achieved, supporting sales opportunities. Ensures compliance with corporate and state sanitation procedures and regulations. Supervises and directs Bakery personnel and provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Manages day-to-day department operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, hiring, training, and development. Monitors and controls departmental financial results, including payroll, sales, gross profit, CTO, shrink, and inventory levels. Oversees product merchandising, display conditions, stock levels, rotation, and compliance with corporate planograms and signing policies. Performs other related duties as assigned by management and adheres to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Strong communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
High school degree or equivalent.
Three or more years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise department staff and schedule and staff the department to meet business needs.
Ensure associates follow applicable federal and state laws and corporate safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Hire, train, and develop departmental staff; document performance issues and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
Ensure associates follow the company dress code and provide fast, friendly, and efficient customer service while exhibiting C.H.O.P.S. behaviors and adhering to 5S standards.
Understand and follow the corporate code of conduct.
Monitor, control, and achieve the department’s pre-established financial results, including payroll, sales, gross profit, CTO, shrink, and inventory levels.
Ensure products are displayed according to corporate planograms and special programs.
Maintain knowledge of department products and assist customers with product information.
Ensure proper shelf and display conditions, stock levels—especially for sale items—and item rotation.
Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and state signing policies and regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies and procedures.
