About The Position

The Bakery Manager leads team members and oversees department inventory, pricing integrity, and other operational processes requiring attention to detail. This fast-paced role calls for efficiency, effectiveness, and a passion for excellence. The manager helps deliver friendly, accurate, and timely guest service while ensuring products are properly ordered, received, stocked, prepared, and merchandised according to company standards. The position also involves engaging, motivating, coaching, and training team members.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, and/or culinary work.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow department planograms, layouts, and merchandising schematics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner, providing accurate and timely service.
• Make recommendations and accommodate guest requests.
• Manage order guides and ordering deadlines while reducing shrink and damage.
• Properly receive and stock goods, following rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Handle, slice, and prepare specialty breads, pastry items, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day.
• Direct teams in receiving, stocking, and merchandising goods according to The Fresh Market standards.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on the job and through the internal training platform.
• Help provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner.
