About The Position

The Bakery Manager assists in planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Bakery Department. The role supports customer service, team morale, department coordination, and compliance with company policies. The Bakery Manager also helps develop department personnel, ensures bakery production fundamentals are taught, and maintains appropriate records, security, and awareness of competitive activity.

Requirements

• Knowledge and ability to cost materials to determine proper retail prices.
• Knowledge and ability to prepare a master production sheet.
• Sufficient knowledge and ability to teach bakery production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing.
• Ability to perform essential duties accurately and maintain a high level of productivity.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with department and store team members.

• Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote morale through friendly, professional, honest, and open communication.
• Comply with company policies, programs, directives, and the Code of Conduct.
• Set a professional example for other store team members.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and directing Bakery Department activities.
• Cost materials to determine proper retail prices and prepare master production sheets.
• Support the development of department personnel through company training, evaluation, and counseling procedures.
• Teach bakery production fundamentals, including mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing.
• Assist in maintaining department security in compliance with company policy and directives.
• Monitor competitive activity in the store's marketing areas as it relates to the Bakery Department.
• Exercise sound, honest judgment in protecting the company's interests and investment.
• Coordinate and communicate with other departments to support the flow of products and service throughout the store and bakery operation.
• Maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
