About The Position

85°C Bakery Cafe is recruiting a Shift Lead for its Store Management Team at the new Santee location. Store Management oversees a broad range of functions, including store operations, customer service, management, and employee training. The role is responsible for store business performance and maintaining quality, hygiene, and health and safety standards. Employees are expected to cross-train in Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments. The position involves moderate physical activity, nearly continuous standing and walking, repetitive hand motions, overhead reaching, and possible exposure to extreme cooler and freezer temperatures. Duties may change or be assigned as needed.

Requirements

At least two years of progressive experience in fast food or other related food operations in a leadership-level position.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines to meet new or changing demands.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
Good attendance and availability to work overtime when needed.
Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the 85°C concept.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Sufficient strength to perform the position's duties, including moderate lifting of up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.

Responsibilities

Take essential responsibility for the business performance of the assigned store.
Ensure employees take breaks on time.
Organize and supervise employee shifts.
Participate in management and personnel meetings.
Check stock levels and keep notes of supplies.
Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Perform additional store duties when circumstances dictate.
Cross-train in each department, including Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar.
