About The Position

85°C Bakery Cafe is hiring a Shift Lead for its new Santee location as part of the Store Management Team. The role helps lead store operations, including customer service, management, and employee training, and is responsible for the business performance of the assigned store. Store associates are expected to cross-train in Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments. Duties and responsibilities may change or additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Requirements

At least two years of progressive experience in fast food or another related food operation in a leadership-level position.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines while meeting new or changing demands.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Good attendance and availability to work overtime when needed.
Excellent work ethic and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the 85°C concept.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.
Sufficient strength for moderate physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
Ability to stand and walk nearly continuously, perform repetitive hand motions, and reach overhead.
Ability to work around unusual elements, including the extreme temperatures of coolers and freezers.

Responsibilities

Take essential responsibility for the business performance of the assigned store.
Ensure employees take breaks on time.
Organize and supervise employee shifts.
Participate in management and personnel meetings.
Check stock levels and keep track of supplies.
Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, health, and safety.
Perform additional store duties when circumstances require.
Cross-train in the Bread, Cake, POS, and Bar departments.
