About The Position

The Bakery Clerk provides excellent guest service through bakery department activities. The role includes preparing products for sale, maintaining product levels and freshness, keeping work areas clean and sanitary, assisting guests, and supporting receiving, storage, and front-end operations.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by baking, weighing, and pricing them.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Perform cake-decorating clerk functions when requested.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to help maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
