About The Position

Provide excellent guest service through bakery department activities. Prepare products for sale, maintain product levels and freshness, support cake decorating when requested, and keep bakery work and sales areas sanitary and organized. The position also supports guest requests, product receiving and storage, front-end service, and department operations as assigned by management.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
Prepare products for sale by baking, weighing, and pricing them.
Maintain product levels, quality, and freshness.
Perform cake-decorating clerk functions when requested.
Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests to management.
Communicate temperature breakdowns to a supervisor.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Perform front-end duties to maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
Assist with product receiving and storage.
