About The Position

As a Bakery Clerk at Tony's Fresh Market, LLC, you will suggest products and assist customers with questions and special orders. You will stock display cases and keep a variety of high-quality bakery items available. The role requires compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements, along with periodic cleaning and sanitizing of bakery, preparation, and equipment areas. Cake decorating or baking duties may be performed only after the employee is fully trained and approved.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build rapport.
• Maintain a friendly, outgoing attitude through eye contact and body language.
• Respond effectively to customer questions.
• Stock products and maintain displays according to merchandising standards.
• Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
• Package, label, date, and handle baked goods properly.
• Sort baked goods from the oven when needed.
• Fill product orders on the sales floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
