Part Time Morning Weekend Bakery Clerk
About The Position
The Bakery Clerk proofs and bakes unfinished bakery goods according to product handling information, using ovens and other equipment. The clerk uses production charts to guide production and display quantities, unpacks frozen bakery goods, and prepares products for the next business day. The role packages and decorates bakery items, assists members with questions and special orders, receives and stores shipments, and maintains product freshness, quality, accurate pricing, cleanliness, and food safety. The position may also involve duties in other departments as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.
- Ability to perform the listed bakery tasks and follow food safety, product handling, cleaning, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities
- Answer questions about bakery items, recommend products, answer member calls, and take special orders.
- Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods according to product handling information, using ovens and other equipment.
- Use bakery production charts to guide production and display needs and gather products for the next business day.
- Package freshly baked goods, including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items as needed.
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display appropriate quantities based on production chart recommendations.
- Decorate special-order or case products.
- Receive, inspect, rotate, and store bakery shipments and products in accordance with food safety, freshness, and product handling procedures.
- Ensure products are fresh and meet company quality standards; check for outdated products and follow salvage and stale product procedures.
- Generate labels and price tickets, perform price checks when necessary, and ensure items are accurately priced.
- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces, including ovens, utensils, refrigerated cases, display racks, and tables.
- Operate and handle bakery equipment using safe work methods and applicable policies and procedures.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support compliance.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Deliver member service, address and de-escalate concerns, and help ensure a safe and positive member experience.
- Work collaboratively to maintain club standards, including stocking, promotional execution, accurate signage, and clean, organized spaces.
