About The Position

The County Market Bakery Clerk-Wrapper provides excellent customer service and helps maintain bakery product quality, availability, merchandising, and cleanliness. The role includes rotating and handling products, checking department quality, maintaining stock and inventory, promoting sales, offering samples, packaging and labeling products to NFI standards, and performing basic baking duties. The clerk follows health, safety, company, store, and department policies and procedures. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Duties and requirements may vary by store location, and management may change the position requirements.

• Food Handler’s Certification as required by state law; certification is provided at store level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior guest service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment properly and develop knowledge of the products offered, including their use and taste.
• Perform quality assurance checks in the department.
• Handle and rotate products properly.
• Carry out daily operational procedures to maintain stock levels, inventory, and cleanliness.
• Promote sales and offer samples.
• Package and label products in accordance with NFI standards.
• Perform basic baking duties.
• Clean floors, ovens, and counters, and wash dishes.
• Follow company programs, policies, procedures, health-code guidelines, and store and department policies.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and act as a safety role model.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
