About The Position

Raley's is hiring a Bakery Assistant Team Lead to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Bakery Department and help lead the team. The role supports department production and merchandising, provides customer service, and helps maintain food safety and sanitation standards. The successful candidate demonstrates leadership, drives results, and pays close attention to detail.

The position involves assisting the Bakery Department Team Lead with department tasks, interacting with customers, preparing food, sharing food knowledge, and leading, training, coaching, and communicating with Team Members. It also supports production, merchandising, quality control, sales, labor management, and productivity.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must reliably meet the required work schedule and adhere to the company attendance policy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Department Team Lead with all department tasks.
• Interact with customers daily and provide customer service.
• Prepare food, including slicing meats, preparing sandwiches, and cooking fresh offerings.
• Share food knowledge with customers and Team Members.
• Lead, train, coach, and communicate with department Team Members.
• Support food safety, safety, and sanitation.
• Manage day-to-day production, merchandising, and quality control of department offerings.
• Drive department sales.
• Manage department labor and productivity.
