BAKER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Baker at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida. The Baker prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications, including breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries. The role helps plan production to meet daily needs and ensures food quality, presentation, portion control, and proper serving temperatures. It also involves maintaining safe, sanitary, and orderly work areas; tracking production and supplies; and providing friendly customer service. Days and hours may vary, with further schedule details provided during the interview.
Requirements
- Baking experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to production and catering sheets, and assist with production planning for daily requirements.
- Prepare food using approved recipes, production standards, and proper equipment.
- Assist with production records, including waste, used and unused portions, and product shortages; inform the supervisor when supplies are low.
- Ensure proper food presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
- Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils in the work area.
- Handle food appropriately and follow safety regulations during preparation and service.
- Clean equipment and the workstation before moving to other assignments, and keep display equipment clean and free of debris.
- Interact with customers, resolve complaints in a customer-service-oriented manner, and relay relevant concerns to supervisors.
- Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Ensure food is presented, served, and displayed according to standards.
- Follow sanitation and food and equipment safety principles, including corporate and OSHA standards.
- Complete assigned shift work thoroughly and on time in accordance with department standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
