About The Position
The Baker prepares and bakes a high volume of bakery products in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. Under the direct supervision of the Bakery Manager, the role prepares ingredients and bakery items for production, ensures products are baked consistently to meet quality standards, and performs related preparation, cleaning, and sanitation duties as needed. The work environment is a fast-paced grocery store. The position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and involves heavy lifting and other physical activities.
Requirements
- A valid Food Handler Card or equivalent food safety certification.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including heavy lifting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
