About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Bakery Manager, the Baker prepares and bakes a high volume of bakery products in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. The position prepares ingredients and bakery items for production, ensures products are baked consistently to meet quality standards, and performs related preparation, cleaning, and sanitation duties as needed. The work environment is typical of a fast-paced grocery store. The role involves lifting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling, and requires meeting the visual and auditory requirements necessary to perform assigned duties. Heavy lifting is required.
Requirements
- A valid Food Handler Card or equivalent food safety certification is required.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to perform physical activities including lifting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
- Ability to meet the visual and auditory requirements necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting.
