About The Position

The Bagging Production team prepares mulch and decorative gravel products for distribution by bagging, sealing, stacking, wrapping, and staging them. The team also palletizes rock products from bulk material or a tumbler to fill customer orders and stock the yard for future orders. Some work is equipment-assisted, while other tasks involve direct physical labor. Work takes place indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather.

Requirements

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Valid driver's license.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work quickly and accurately.
Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience.
Landscape, nursery, or irrigation product knowledge.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Operate a front-end loader to fill the hopper with material for bagging or tumbling.
Operate a forklift, Teledyne, or backhoe to move pallets and products, whether empty or loaded.
Attach bags to the machine for filling.
Put filled bags into the sealer for closure.
Lift bags from the conveyor belt and stack them onto pallets.
Rake rock from the bucket into the hopper.
Shovel, sweep, and pick up materials to maintain a safe work area.
Stock bags for the bagger and plastic rolls for wrapping.
Use wire-cutting pliers and/or bolt cutters to assemble wire cages and tie them off for delivery.
Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance.
