About The Position

Sunstates Security is currently hiring a Full-Time Badging Admin Officer in the Huntsville, AL area. This position offers a starting pay rate of $17.00/hr - with weekly pay. The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Requirements

  • Must be capable to stand, sit, bend, reach, and/or walk up to 45 minutes consistently
  • Exceptional customer service skills and critical thinking skills
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • AL security license is preferred
  • CPR certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate directly with Security on badging standards, visitor management, and other duties encompassed in this position.
  • Responsible for the creation, issuance, and deactivation of Company access cards.
  • Monitor building alarm, camera, and duress systems for any issues or outages.
  • Utilize the visitor management system to register vendors, visitors, and service personnel entering the site through the administrative building.
  • Manage contractor rosters for the site, ensuring short-term contractor badges are deactivated after project completion.
  • Responsible for greeting, directing, and redirecting visitors and guests in the lobby.
  • Provide a security presence for the administrative building, responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of personnel, customers, visitors, and site property.
  • Manage the Temp Badge system, ensuring the temp badge record is maintained and that temp badges are managed per company policy.
  • Support on-site security staff with camera reviews, badge record requests, and associate intercom traffic.
  • Review contract security reports for accuracy, ensuring they meet the client’s security standards and providing corrections in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Be a point of contact responsible for visitor management during emergency situations.
  • Provide training to contract security on badging systems, badge creation, and the site’s badging and visitor policies.
  • Maintain company property and equipment and report any issues or damages immediately.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
