Background Check Specialist

About The Position

This position works in Human Resources but is solely dedicated to our START program. This position is responsible for assisting with the background checks of all employees onboarded for our START program, including FBI fingerprint checks, sex offender registry checks, and obtaining personal and professional references, among other background check processes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computerized human resources software are strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Speaking is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre-hire tasks.
  • Assist in Audits.
  • Make use of ongoing professional consultation, institutes and conferences.
  • Conduct employee reference check.
  • Maintain appropriate competency with all required vendor software necessary to position responsibilities.
